Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 2024

Omegle is committed to fostering a web-based platform where individuals from around the world can connect and engage in conversations. To ensure a safe and respectful environment, we’ve outlined these Community Guidelines. While these guidelines provide general advice on acceptable behavior and content, they don’t cover every possible form of inappropriate or illegal activity. Users are expected to use common sense and treat others respectfully while using Omegle.

These guidelines govern your use of the Omegle website and all associated services (referred to collectively as the “Services”). Omegle may update these guidelines at its discretion and without prior notice, and any changes will be posted on the Services. These guidelines are intended to work alongside the Omegle Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of the platform.

Omegle reserves the right to suspend or ban users, whether temporarily or permanently, or take other necessary actions, with or without notice, against any user whose behavior is considered inappropriate or harmful by Omegle, at its sole discretion. This applies even if the conduct in question isn’t explicitly mentioned in these guidelines.

If you come across any behavior or content that violates these guidelines or poses safety concerns, please report it to Omegle by emailing [contact email], with “Omegle-Safety” in the subject line. While Omegle is not obligated to act on your reports, your input is important to us.

Parents who want to restrict their children’s access to inappropriate material can explore commercially available parental control options, such as specialized software, hardware, or filtering services.

Sexually explicit material, pornography, and nudity are prohibited in the moderated areas of the Services. Content involving sexual exploitation or violence is strictly banned and may be reported to law enforcement.

Protection of Minors:
Content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors is strictly forbidden. Omegle will report such incidents to appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
